The rod is coming along nicely, the tips are needing a final coat of varnish and will be done, here are the photos of the guides going on. The next step is the creation of the stripping guide, the hardest part of this one was finding a stone suitable to use in green. There are only approximately 5 types of stone that come in large enough sizes to use for the guide. The most popular is Jade which I have used on multiple occasions so I did not want to use it again for yours. I had found a green amethyst that was off clear colour (not very green) and then the Peridot that had to many cracks to hold together. I stumbled on a piece of Tsavorite that I had tucked away in a drawer for a special rod and forgotten about. So far it is looking very promising.
