This one is a 8′ 2 section 7 weight with 2 tips. The reel seat is curl Hawaiian Koa and Mango woods with accents of blue stabilized birch burl, the koa looks like a gem stone in the light. The hard ware for the reel seat is all hammer forged sterling silver. The hard ware started as molten silver and then hammered into bars of sterling silver and forged into the rings. The hammer marks were left in to give it a textured look. The butt of the rod is a blue tigers eye (hawks eye) cabochon set into sterling silver once again. The stripping guide is a ring of blue tigers eye set into 14k yellow gold wire bezel with 14k white gold feet.
This is the taper that I use on the Bow River, it is able to cast streamers and I do cast a sink tip with it as well. I have not completed the case for this one yet so it can be either a simple powder coated aluminum tube or one of my wood and brass cases. If it is one of my wood cases it will take a week to complete as glues and varnishes take time to dry. The wood case will add $200.00 to the cost of the rod.
